White opaque growth

Hi I was looking into my tank about an hour ago and I noticed this stuff growing inside of a hole in my LR. The image makes the stuff look smooth like a sponge but it has a very wirey(is that even a word?) look to it instead. Actually the stuff reminds me of how roots on a plant look. I am going to see if I can get a better pic tonight after my batteries charge.
It does not look like eggs.

Hey actually I looked at yours before posting but what you described was a smooth white substance. Mine however very much resembles little white roots growing all over each other in order to create one big white mass. if yours is like that then maybe mine is a sponge. But mine is definitly not a smooth surface.
