White Specks

I was looking around inside my tank today and noticed some hard white specs on the glass. When i looked around longer i saw alot of these spots on my rocks as well. Does anybody have ideas about what they might be? The best description i can give is... small white spots, of varying sizes and they are hard, almost like a shell or something(i scrubbed a couple on the front glass). There are few on the glass and a lot forming on rocks, both LR and base rock. I don't think they are pods...any ideas?

I just took a close look skirrby, and they are spiral shaped. So what are you thinking they are?

you know i cant think of the auctual name of them atm.. but since you said they are sprialed shaped.. then they are a harmless filter feeding worm.. im sure somone on here will chime in with the name

Spirorbidae worms. I'm not 100% sure about the spelling.
Everything else that skirrby said seems right to me.
