White specs on back of tank glass?

My tank has pin sized dots all over the back of the tank. They cover the back of the glass. I don't scrub the algae off the back. What are they? Tank is 7 months old. I can scrub it off but it's a pain.

i have them too, i believe they are calcium deposits, they are hard. i leave them alone, they aren't bothering anything.

Look closely at them and if they appear to be little coils then they are a type of fan worm. They grow in areas where there is good water flow and are harmless filter feeders but a good sign for a maturing tank.
