white spot on eye???

meh, my panther grouper has a white spot on his right eye and it looks like his left one is gettin a little darker...the back portion of him is also darker and not as white... all he does is sit at the bottom of the tank and sometimes hes breathing heavily but there arent any white spots on him just on his eye o yea and i started treating the tank with this stuff that says it gets rid of "ich and other single-celled infections" any ideas:help:

should i put my cleaner shrimp in with him in hopes that he'll help my grouper?? im afraid he'll get eaten

Did you just get him? Can you post a picture? How big is he, and how big is your tank? Has he been eating? What other fish are in the tank? What are your water readings?

my water parameters were perfect and i got the white spot to go away with some medication but he was still sick and just sat at the bottom of the sand but the skin was starting to peel under his mouth and it turned blood red then i woke up this mornin and he was dead

and where the skin was peeling was a giant gaping hole
