Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum. I just purchased a Majestic Angel and had him in QT for 2 1/2 weeks. He's eating like a pig. So last night I moved him to my main tank of 150g. The tank is in operation for over 2 years with lr and dsb. This evening I notice white speckles all over the Majestic only. I have 3 yellow chromis, 3 yellow tail damsels, 1 striped humbug (for 6yrs now), and an engineering goby. Water parameters are: amm 0, nitrite 0,nitrate 40, pH 8.2 and SG 1.019. The Majestic was picking through the live rocks, and i notice alot of white debris from the rocks when the angel picked at it. Could it be the white debris sticking on the Angel? Any help is appreciated.

Hello. A picture would certainly help in knowing whether its ich or not. I have added new fish to tanks before and they have gotten a spot or two of ich and then dropped them and never to be seen again. What size tank is it? Is it reef or FO? i have had particles of sand stick to fish that would make a novice think it was ich. PM and I'd be happy to help. Wouldn't want to see you lose a fish! Regards, Tim
