hi, i have experienced white spot before and i have found that it came in as soon as i got a tang. have u got any tangs in your tank. if so it might be the problem, however im not completely sure. one day my white spot went really bad and the tang died. i have never had white spot since the tang died. it has now been 1 and a ½ years. the reason that i am not completely sure is because not long ago i bought a sailfin tang and had it for a month. ( it died due to my domino damsel which chases all my fish ) while i had the sailfin i never had white spot. sry i hope this helps. im a beginer with my father. except my father knows alot more. :notsure:

if by white spots you mean ick or ich however you want to spell it. there are a number of medications at the lfs. also you can try hyposalinity which is bringing the salinity down slowly until you reach 1.014 and leave it there for a couple weeks. will not harm fish but if you have inverts it will kill them as well. this will not hurt your fish. i've had it lowered for several weeks and none of my fish ever died and i was even lucky to not lose inverts as well.
