No shark in a tank that small. Whitespotted will max out at over 36". Porcs. are also bad tank mates, for sharks.

Hi,
It is never any fun telling someone that their favorite fish is not suitable for the size aquarium they are destined for, but that is the case here.

Unfortunately these sharks although small when purchased quickly outgrow the tank they live in most of the time.
Most places sell them as pups at 8 to 11 inches and most hobbiest do not realize that when full grown they will be 3 to 4 feet long!
Without the proper size aquarium they do very poorly not to mention that it is irresponsible fish keeping. Also sharks contrary to belief they are easily picked on and finding suitable tank mates is challenging.
I hope you understand I am not against keeping sharks, I have had a few over the years and love them! But without the proper setup it really isn't a good idea.

I am doing a shark tank and 72x30x30 might not even be big enough, also a huge sump is needed go to the wet web and read on sharks, the author of the sharks and rays book anwsers questions from blogers. With his advice i might be upping my tank to 84x36x30.
