white string coming out of sps

what's going on to my sps here? it usually happens after I had my hand inside the tank for a while, usually after spot feeding or moving things around.

I had the same question a while back when my Zoas had threads hanging out of the polyps! They continue to do it presently.
A few responses I received said that it's waste.
I'm interested in knowing what others believe it is, i'll keep an eye on this thread.
Either way, it doesn't seem to be anything serious.

Could they possibly be tentacles used to protect the coral? (stinging nearby corals or something?)

I have a slimer that does that when disturbed. thats my guess.
