White Tang

Is there such a thing as a white tang? If so where can you buy one? How much would one be?

There is a albino black tang at a lfs by me. They are asking $250 for it i think. It looks just like a cream colored black or yellow tang. It was pretty white but it didn't look very attractive to me, jmo.

Closest to a white tang would be a Convict Tang but they have some dark bars or an adult Orangeshoulder, front halve is white.

Lieutenant tangs come in an off white variation but they come in several variations. Almost got one instead of my powder brown since you dont see many people with them. More tan or off white than white though

There's no such thing as a "true" white tang, if you see one that looks to good to be true its probably died.

Every once in a while you'll find a yellow tang that's white. It's a color morph or something. I've only seen two or three before

I don't think it has to be albino, there is a very rare color variant.

The lieutenant is a very light color and an awesome fish! Highly recommend!
Very docile and mine even keeps the sandbed clean. Always is grazing the sand. Only downside is because of this, he does some major sandstorm poops and will dust corals on the sand bed.
By the way, many adult orange shoulders are very colorful, even the front half.
