white thing on clown

Hi, a month ago a got a tomato clown. Looked good in the store
When I got him home, after acclimitizing him for a the recommended time. I then put him into the tank. Low and behold "ick"
Dam I was mad, I knew that I would be able to treat this ick and put him into a quarantine tank. After some time in there and not a happy camper he was clear and doing just fine. He has been in the main tank now for a while. But.... I have noticed that under his belly, at the front of the anal fin there is a white bump that seems to be just stuck to the fin. What is this?
There has been no signs of ick or anything. Does not seem to bother him either.
:notsure:

I heard that stress with the fish causes the parisite to come. Because when I first got my sailfin tang he was completly fine until i got him home. Like 3 days later he had ick. Luckily i dipped him in freshwater and killed it before it got into any further stages.

1. do not do f/w dips, they do more harm than good.
2. Post here about it
3. feed garlic, i had somthing that seems like what you're describing on my sailfin, i soaked the food i fed her garlic, now she's nearly cured
does it look anything like the picture attached?

No, it does not look like that picture at all. It is one small white bump right at the front of the anal fin. It is slowly going away though and no signs of ick at all.
I had this happen to some freshwater fish after I treated them for ick and it did go away after a while.
I just about killed my chromis doing a freshwater dip. What i did instead this time is use a seperate tank as I did not want to kill my inverts or corals. I used the water from in the main tank though and added the correct amount of "Aquarisol" Copper Salts. I swear by this stuff for the treatment of ich, velvet disease, closed fins etc.
But in a marine tank........dead everything if you add it directly to the tank. So now that my ich is all cleared up and has been for a while I am so happy. Oh and by the way, when I put the fish back into the main tank I had several cups and kept pouring out the water the fish was in firs then add it to the next cup just to make sure I did not get even a trace of the aquarisol in my tank. Worked like a charm for me. The advantage of having a small tank and a couple of fish I can do that with.
Thanks for the info though, good luck to you
