Whitemushrooms

I have Huge White Thick mushrooms spreading like wildfire in my tank and i never purchased them are they harmful or let em grow?

White usually means bleached, but if theyre spreading like mad, I would say get a picture so we can confirm it is a mushroom.

If it is a shroom and its white its not good, but since you said that they are spreading I would have to say that they arent shrooms...

i can get you a picture in tomorrow but im currently getting ready to leave so i will post one tomorrow. I am positive they are shrooms because they are big white and open up at day and close at night

I've never really seen any corals that were truely white that were softies. The only coral that is naturally white would be a fire coral which is SpS.

Type of algae maybe? How large are they and how long did it take from when they first appeared to when they reached their current size?

their starting to not look like shrooms any more. Like are still big but hollow in the inside with a little hole.

They are harmless filter feeders, exposure to the air can kill them. They are also known as sea squirts, in the sponge family.
