who has snails, come in!

I bought 5 snails, and for the first 2 days they went around the glass and cleaned. For the past 2 days however 4 of them are in the top left next to my emporer400 OUT OF WATER! for 2 days in a row!!!
what the heck are they doing?

My snails did that at the LFS where I got them. They havent done that in my tank though. The only thing I could suggest is something wrong with the water parameters.

Well 1 is always in the water the other 4 stay out..but now only 2 are out still so they are doing something :thinking:

They'll be fine, mine does the samething, but they would go back down and clean the rocks and back glass then move back up to top. Right now only one stays on top and the other ones are moving around everywhere. I only have 5 right now and I'll get more later. They come out searching for food everywhere once my lights are off. :happyfish

I get the same thing,but only with my astria snails.On Sunday 2 of 5 were out of the water,and by lights out,they all were on the live rock,near the bottom of the tank.When I woke up This morning,4 of 5 were on the water line.All water parameters are fine.(ammo,nits,trates,pH,cal,phos,sila,sg=1.024)
