Who has started putting up their Chrismas lights?

Hey all! Christmas is right around the corner! Has anyone else started to put up their lights? I always start mid October because I put so many up. Who else starts early?
I have 2,550 up out of close to 25,000 to put up.
How many did you have last year? Do you have any new plans for this year?

around the corner?! its not even thanksgiving yet.
damn, at this rate, christmas will be a 6 month holiday next year...

We usually start around early November and turn them on Thanksgiving night. It's a tradition. I have no idea how many lights we put up but the neighbors swear we're competing against my dad with all the lights (my mom and dad live across the street btw).
Personally, I can't wait to put up the Christmas tree. We go and cut down a real one every year. Makes the house smell wonderful.

It is fun and the kids love it too. They help out with the lights on the ground and I help for a little while then go in an make my homemade white chocolate cocoa with a dollop of whipped cream and crushed peppermints on top.
Yummy! It's fun for everyone.

There sure is if you put up 25,000 lights. If I waited until after Thanksgiving, I would still be putting them up after New Years.
The lights are UP not ON.

lol, he does have a point. That's a lot of lights. And my purpose is to maintain a tradition that my family started way before me.

I'm going to put Christmas garland round the bottom of the tank this year. Give the fish a little decorating. It'll make the tanks look festive.

Haha. That would be fun! My first tank (I was 12 or 13 years old) I got my fish a stocking. It had fish food and a little decoration inside.

There is nothing I hate more than the cold. That is another reason I get them up early. :) I'd rather not slip and fall off the roof or freeze to death!

No kidding...talk about ruining all the fun of putting them up. lol Instead of putting them up comfortably you become human popsicle and are in a rush to get them done. Not good. lol

You need a hobby. Obviously saltwater doesn't consume enough of your time.
