My boxer is named petunia. She is now 7 years old. Her father was a 2 time best in show champ. She is the most loyal, sweetest, feroc ious bitch I ever met. Efver since I met my first boxer, who pawed me in the balls and pissed on my show right after, I was sold on the fact that that was the dog for me. Love em,

I had a couple I took in as rescues, and when they fattened up, and got all caught up with the vet, I found them a new home. Very sweet dogs, but I couldn't untrain what they were raised wih as they were 6 years old. Jumping up to snoop the countertops when we weren't home, getting in the trash when we weren't home, etc... So I gave them away, but they were gentle giants.

Can't imagine life without a Boxer. I have 3 and actually started my company because of my doggies. (Bone-Appetit)
Here's Flash, a huge bruiser of a couch potato. He's a German boxer

And this is Suzy, she's gettingup there in age, kinda cranky, makes a lot of noise, but thats about it....Suzy was my first Boxer!

This is Shadow, crazy as all getout. She the youngest and a total handfull.

I had one for over 12 years. My brother and dad stoled her because of what they witnessed her go through over a course of about 2 months. The man that had her beat her. She would go for days without food and water. One night my dad and brother watched this guy beat her so bad she was stumbling around so the guy went inside and my dad jumped the fence and took her
. She was the best dog I have ever had. Very good choice in dogs IMO.

Seriously, if I had seen something like that, the guys last problem would have been that his dog went missing. I've gotten in serious trouble before when I took matters in my own hand and have no problem doing it again. Makes my blood boil...Boxers are the like gentle giants, all they want to do is make you happy, big goofy, snortin, hyper lugs that simply want to be next to you..

Maxal, I asked my brother why didn't he take the guy out at the knees. Dad asked him not to make waves because he was afraid something would happen to his business. This guy and all his drunken buddies lived behind my dad's business. Trust me it took everything my brother had not to beat this man down. I miss her alot she has been gone for about 5 yrs now. I cant bring myself to get another one no matter how bad I want one. She use to make me gag with her slobber hanging lol

I totally understand, family, friends, business, personal property. In this day and age people can react in ways that are sensless and violent. In no way was it a jab at you guys not taking more aggressive action, you gota be carefull in those types of situations... Moral of the story is you had an incredible companion for 12years because of the rescue..... Right now I'm trying to collect 25 THOUSAND old and used dog collars to be put on permanent display, each collar represents 1 animal that is killed in Vegas each year at the local shelters. So you can see how insane I can become with these type situations

Oh I didnt take it personally. My dad said he just couldnt take it anymore so that is why he finally stepped in. PM me an address. I have a whole bag of collars that I keep at anyone time because I foster for the local shelters and a few rescue places around Oklahoma. I would love to donate them to you and help in your plight
> I have an organzation called Paks for Pugs. Were I give a whole bag of things like beds, blankets, collars/leash, and toys in a bag to those that adopt pugs here in OKC and local areas. I'm starting a new one this yr that I will give these bags out to anyone that adopts from the local shelters. Let me know how I can help you with anything you are involved in.

For those of you with rescue groups, stores like Khols and Homegoods will actually give you the pet beds that don't sell. They usually keep the items in stock for a few weeks and if they don't sell they take them out of inventory and destroy them, as they usually buy stuff like this at auctions and have nowhere else to get rid of them. Our group is a "not for profit" and has a tax id# so they can then take it as a tax deductible donation.
.
If anyone is interested go to hcws.org and follow the links to "remember" fundraiser. If anyone wants to send old or used collars, it would be forever on display and have an incredible impact.
You can also sponsor a collar for $5.00. 100% of donations go to the foundation and $5.00 can very well save a dogs life! Again it's tax deductible, just put a note that it's for the collar program. Me and my business partners are matching all donations, up to $5000

I have always loved there sad little puppy dog eyes. I always asked sissy lou(my boxer) if her fat head was getting heavy and she always gave me a snort and a butt wag(didnt have a tail). So I guess that was a YES.
