when it starts to melt is the most definitive sign. Sometimes they can look very dead (ie, guts coming out of the mouth) and then perk back up a few hours later.

Well my gold stripe started hosting my gtba today, and the bta has not shrunk up or acted like it has all week, i am so happy, now to my question. does a clownfish hosting an anenome acctually affect the anenome's health?

Accually the clown helps my friends brings food into his anenome

Not all Clownfish will feed their host, but many do...
In the wild, the relationship between them is solely based on protecting each other. The clown protects the anemone from preditors and the anemone returns the favor...now if the anemone knows that the clown is hosting and somehow feels safer, and thus make it healthier....who knows the answer ?? I think so....

Now that makes sense, and btw i thought my ammonia was around .25 well stupid me i somehow grabbed the freshwater ammonia test card instead of the saltwater one
anywho all is well and all peramiters are in check
