Who knows whats in my live rock?

There is something in my live rock that looks like a centipede.It apears to be pink in color apx. 6-8 inches long and only comes out at night.My tank seems to be infested with them.I have also had some fish disapear.Anybody out there know what this is? Thnks. BOB

bristleworms....they are in most tanks I believe. I have tons of them too and they don't seem to cause problems. I think they eat the leftover wastes that reside in your tank. It's normal.

You don't want to many of these things, they make traps for them, but be carefull they sting!

sounds like bristle worms.... 6-8 in. WOW a darn big one..... you could get a six-line wrasse he eats the smaller ones .... and try the old nylon trick for the others.... it is taking an old nylon, putting some freash fish (small piece of cod) at night, tie a string on it and let it in your tank over night... they will come out at night to eat and get stuck to the nylon and pull it out the next morn... and toss it away(be careful not to touch them it hurts,like a small burn) hense the nickname fire-worm...

6-8 inch bristleworm. I think he would proable woop the ---- out of six-line wrasse Krazzy Dart. Ha, Ha
