imo aqua C and euro reef make the best advanced hobby skimmers.
if you want to go pro then go with a bubble king but be ready to shell out ATLEAST 2000.00 bucks for one.

If you have enough room, I would buy the biggest Euroreef you can afford. I have one for my 55g and it is great.

i have a new aqua c remora and after 2 days it has produced a surprising amount of bad stuff from my ver low stocked tank. Very good skimmer...best IMHO for any skimmer under 300$. worked in 24 hours but will not be fully opperational until a couple days. A++ for aqua c remora and it is on my 55 sps and clam tank. So clean water is a must. im very satisfied.

I liked my AquaC when I had a smaller tank and now I love my EuroReef on my larger tank.

DeltecMCE600...it a hang on if you do not have a sump...or it can hang on the sump or be in sump. Any Deltec will blow the doors of a Euro

As you see you will get varied responses. There are several great skimmers out there at the top of the list as far as cost, performance, durability.
I have an ASM G-2 on my 65 and a Euro-reef CS 5-2 on my 75. ASM is a cheaper version of a euro-reef and they both do an equally fantastic job. For design,I would choose the euro reef. If money is tight, get the ASM. They have a needle wheel pump..it chops the water into a finer foam.Good job researching first.

p.s. How do I know these are good skimmers? I used really cheap and inefficient ones for years. Aqua-C is another skimmer I work with..that is phenominal.
