Who uses DSB's, who doesn't. Why and why not?

DSB...good filtration and no vacuuming.

You never vaccum your DSB at all? Really? I didn't know that. I have heard you vaccum the top layer.

as long as you have a good clean-up crew, there should never be a need to vaccume the sand, even the top layer! it might do more damage the good .

Wow... no $hiyat? That's good stuff. I am about to set up the DSb. Now... essentially... if you do too many water changes too frequently... damage can also occur?
It seems like most people do monthlies, so I am going to follow suit and see how it works.

I don't believe to many water changes could cause any damage. Where did you hear that?

Well, I had been doing them on a weekly basis. My corals really hadn't opened fully since I have been doing that. So I thought that was the culprit. I am trying to see if it is that, or too many unecessary chemicals. What do you think?
