Vince Young, he had a better completion percentage, QB rating, he can run, and he beat Leinart for the national championship.

Why does everybody think Bush is a no brainer?? When seattle and indy didnt wanna pay Alexander and Edgerrin, everyone said what great moves those were because RB's are a dime a dozen and its not worth it to give them that much money. And those are 2 proven MVP caliber backs! But now , everyone should drop everything for Reggie Bush. They should definitely trade down a few spots and take Leinart or Young or even Ferguson. The Texans have a quality back in D. Davis, why use the #1 pick on a position your already strong at when you have so many other weaknesses??

I don't think the Texans should take Reggie Bush because they don't need him, but I think he is absolutely the number one pick in the draft. He is a special type of player. He has so much talent it is sometimes unbelievable the things he does. He reminds me a lot of Barry Sanders, and I think he has the potential to be better than Sanders.
If I am the Texans, I trade down in order to fulfill more than one void.

Jay Cutler should be the #1 QB... he had a great showing at the combine, in which leinert and young did not go... Reggie Bush should go first overall...NO in the second spot will prolly tak a defensive player since they aquired Brees...Tennesse 3 and NY Jets 4 will have should have thier choice of the top QB's... Green Bay...Farve Willing...will take an offensive lineman...JMO...

I kinda think Cutler is a little overrated. Leinart is far and beyond the best QB in the draft, in my opinion.

Young needs work. His mechanics are not great for the NFL. That side arm passing crap don't cut it in the pros. Lienart has the look of a pro already. Unless the Texans decide to go with a crowd pleaser and grab Young Bush goes #1. He is a much more sure thing than either QB.

They will take Bush.............it is that simple. D. Davis isn't that good of a back. while D. Carr is a decent quarterback and atleast as good as Leinart in my opinion. Vince Young reminds me to much of Vick........a scrambling QB has yet to get to the super bowl. A quarterback doesn't need his legs, he needs his game smarts and an arm. Even lead foot Bledsoe has bveen to the big dance. But not one Qb that rushed for atleast 75 yards a game has made it to the dance. QB is not a running position....that is what a running back is for, hence the title of the position.

I am not disagreeing with you about Young/Vick, but both Steve McNair and Donovan McNabb have been to the Super Bowl. Before the fallout with Owens, McNabb took the Eagles to the championship 4 years in a row. I would kinda consider both of them to be at least a little bit of running QB's.
And I honestly like Domanick Davis a whole lot. I think he is full of talent. It is hard to pass on someone as talented as Bush though.

Remember how bush was used in college? He is used to being paired up with another back as a running or receiving back. I think Lindale White might be a real bargin for someone too. Bush got all the press but white is a strong back as well. If I had Young I'd try using him at running back a little, be interesting to see how the defense would play him.

the texans need more than a rb at this point. they should move down and see what team offers the most. pretty deep draft in a few positions. they could score big. Leinart would be the qb i go with, then young.

a scrambling QB has never made it to the Super Bowl??? What about Elway, S. Young, Tarkington, Farve or McNabb??? although all of these guys have elements of a pocket passer they are all scramblers first...

Not to mention, exactly what QB has ever averaged 75 yards rushing a game????
thats 1200 yards for the season, 1050 a season prior to 76', your lucky if your rb does that.

P.s.- the qb record is 968 by bobby douglass in 72, noone has ever averaged 75 a game. At least not in the modern era

Seems everyone from all over have pretty much the same opinion about WHO the Texans are going to select. Bush is probably going to be in a Texans Jersey, although that is not necessarily my choice.
Carr is QB we won't be getting Leinart or any other QB to sit 2nd on the bench for a few years, (waste of cap). I would like to see a trade down for some OL help, and possible pick spots for next years draft. This team is in the making, yeah we got slammed last year and so did my financial interests. That just means our man McNair is gonna step up to the goal posts and give us some support.
All in all, it's gonna be interesting! April 29th Reliant Stadium, I'll be there!

Out of all the QB's listed, only 1 WAS a running QB. Mcnabb. I consider a running QB a guy that averages over 400 yards running a season. The rest of the guys were pocket passers first and scramblers. There is a difference. Mcnabb didn't get to the superbowl until the year he had under 300 yards rushing.
Vick and Culpepper are the only running QBS in the league anymore. What do I mean by this? When the pocket collapses, they tuck the ball and run....not attempting to find a receiver. The guys you listed will scramble, but still wait till the last possible minute to tuck and run. Vince young isn't a scrambling QB. He is a running QB. 3 step drop, no one open, tuck and run. NO qb has been to the superbowl while following this regiment and style of play. Prove me wrong. show me a QB with more than 400 yards rushing in a season that has been to the big dance.
Vince young averaged 900 yards rushing per season in college. He only had 1 season where he passed for more than 2000 yards. Not exactly impressive...........when it comes to throwing the ball.
