I am scared to see what the Double Recirc 250 model Joncat recommended is going to look like....
And Ifirefight, doesn't look like it would fit under your display with that large riser tube...or am I missing something...

the double recirc is the same size, it just has another pump mounted on the side of it.

And these are in sump skimmers? Or can they be ran outside of the tank? If so , will I need to plumb it to another pump or my return pump?

The only thing your missing is this picture of a few modifications I did today. There will be a gate valve in the middle of the horizontal white pvc piece. BTW this skimmer is made with METRIC sized pvc...so its a little tricky to fit standard size on them. I will have just under 2 inches clearance....And I need 1 inch to remove the collection cup....Talk about a tight fit.

joncat, you seem to be knowledgeable about the octopus line of skimmers, what would you recommend for a 125g with a 30-40 gallon sump and heavy stocking? The tank includes a porcupine puffer, black trigger, naso and powder brown tang. and sorry for hijacking the thread but that skimmer is impressive

depending on your budget.....I would say the recirc 200 pictured above would be great. But if money is an issue you could look at the nw 200 also.

I have seen on other websites people modding the NW200 to apply mess to the NW, putting a gate valve on the return, and boring out some pieces, have you tried this or recommend any of the mods to the NW200? I believe the NW200 will be more in my price range.
