Who's sick of hearing that SW is hard?

Most people will not do this. Most people will not do the work, or understand what to do. And I would specifically TELL them it was hard when I worked at an LFS because they had no real business trying to keep one if the weren't going to do that.
For many people, it IS hard to do. It DOES require more than what they are willing to put into it. For many, changing the water in a betta bowl, and remembering to feed it is a lot of work.
If they think it is hard work, let them keep believing it
Save the fish they might kill

I agree completely with ophiura here. I didn't start my tank because I was totally enthralled with a pixal entertainment feature. I did have my motivation, but it was one that made me realize that if I do this, I will DO IT RIGHT!!
To do it right, yeah...it takes commitment, perseverence, and mostly it takes a love of the hobby and the lives that you are taking into your home. They count on you.
No, I don't get tired of hearing how hard SW keeping is, because it is difficult, but it is the most rewarding hobby if you are willing to do it right.

Hey now...changing the betta bowl is hard work... :hilarious
Seriously though, I've wanted to get into SW for years now, and until now the thing that kept me away was hearing everyone saying how difficult it was. I've kept FW tanks, kept numerous species of reptiles, bred geckos, bred sugar gliders, gone to college (still there, and will be for many more years...joys of Ph.D aspirations), held three jobs...etc etc etc. Basically, when I finally decided to actually research the work/cost involved in a SW tank, I realized it really isn't all that hard at all. Expensive, sure, but I'm also fighting a gambling addiction, and that was expensive. At least this way I'll have something pretty to look at after I spend my money ;-)

it is hard. you actualy have to take care of it. it's not like a dog you just put in your back yard and remember to give food and water. i would change my mind about SW and get a dog but.... im addicted

speaking of addiction im upgrading to a 42g soon
