I already made this exact same poll a few days ago, but okay. And I want Obama but I have a sickening feeling it's going to be McCain.

the title of this thread is "who's the next president?". I took that to mean who I predict... McCain because I predict that is who the next president will, not because I will vote for him. your poll was "who is your CHOICE to be next president", in which I didn't vote because I'm not voting for any of the 3. but that's 2 different polls.
I went back and looked, and for some reason, the poll question here is "who do you want", but the thread title is "who's the next president?". 2 completely different questions and maybe the topic starter needs to clarify because if it's 'who do you WANT to be president", then one should be taken off McCain's slot because I have no intention of voting for him.

True. I tried to edit mine after I made it and it wouldn't let me. Yeah...I have a horrible feeling he is going to win.

No, I'm not kidding, because clearly people have been unable to behave in a civilized fashion in any of the numerous recent political threads.
So behave and DEBATE productively and let's say "professionally," but arguing, name calling
, foul language, demeaning comments, etc will NOT be tolerated.
nevermind

Well the Republicans couldn't have gotten any luckier considering. The left wing of the Demcrat Party would have a fit if Clinton were to somehow pull this off and a signifigant number of them will vote Green Party or whatever if that somehow happens.
Clinton has the Yellow Dog Democrats who wont support extremists from either party. With Clinton the day she hit the senate she started running for president and has made votes to position herself closer to the center. Obama has taken a few really left wing positions that are going to hurt him with moderate voters in the center. I see most of the Yellow Dog votes moving to McCain if Obama is the Democrat party nominee.
Either way if he runs a good campaign I think McCain gets the win.
