Why are my Clarki's doing this???

They are stirring the sand up pushing it around and making a little trench, then they are pushing the empty crab shells around to this area?? What is this behavior??

if there both or if u have to tehre cleaning and making a nest n territory if u have 1 its making a territory!

One is continuously doing it and the other jumps in every once in awhile. Is this something that I should be worried about, the territory thing, or is it a nesting area. It's right in front in the middle of my tank and I don't want them to get aggressive to the other fish...will this happen?

well how big? if big enought for breeding n good water parameters i would expect EGGS wich is good if ur looking to breed them!

About an 1 1/2" to 2. Eggs would be good but, will she lay them in the sand or where? Will the other fish eat the eggs if I don't take her out? Sorry to ask so many stupid questions but...I just have to know. I love my clarki's and love watching them. They are so commical and I want to know everything about them I can find out. TIA for all of your help and expertise and teaching me.

they will lay on a piece of rock and no u leave her in the tank and put the babys in tehere own tank as for other fish eating the eggs its not likely but that possibility still remains of them getting eaten!

One more question...do I need to remove the "whole" rock or how exactly do I go about removing the "eggs" from the tank?
