well first off, they are very fragile, and also no one really knows exactly what they eat

most nudibranchs have a very very short life span in the wild... some only a few hours... most last anywhere from 6-8 months in the wild though....

In general they have a short life span. They often get caught in power heads. My fish think that they are tasty snacks. They nip them once and then they hid or die. When some die they release toxins and can kill the tank, or raise your levels. Just a few reasons. They look so cool, but not worth it in my book.

also most if not all can be very toxic if they die.... thats why they are so clorful... its there warning to predators

there are 2 major reasons why nudis of all types are difficult to keep long
1st, is their natural life span is short
2d, because they are specific eaters. most of them only eat 1 thing, and when i say one thig, I dont mean algae, but one type of algae. OR anemones, but 1 particular type of anemone too. So, they generally eat themselsves out of house and home and then starve.
