HMMM....they really need better lighting then that....SO W/O knowing all your other water parameters I would start with that as being the cause

acans in the wild are found near the bottom. especially rainbow acans, they get their rainbow from low lighting. this is why i dont look at what websites say unless its live aquaria, their recommedations are pretty much on point.

I've found acans to be very picky about alkalinity, especially if it swings.
What are your alk, ca and mag readings?
And yes, they can do quite well under PCs.

If you keep a reef, you really need to be testing , at minimum, Calcium, alkalinity (carbonate hardness), phosphate, pH, nitrate, salinity and temperature.
Acans and mushrooms are two different corals. Mushrooms are much hardier than acans. Yes, both can do well under PC lighting, but this is not the only factor.
What size tank? Where were the acans placed (top, middle or bottom)?
How many watts are the lights?

It was placed at the top and I have PC lights (there was only one on a plug). I plan on upgrading my tank and my system very soon so I will be changing my lighting. For now maybe I'll just stick this the mushrooms.
