Why does this site

Why does this site have so many broken images and pages that come up 404? It's a bit frustrating to shop when images are not loading and pages comimg up with errors. For example look at the top frame, it's been a broke image for quite some time.
It's easy to fix all this, I'll do it in trade for some live stock.

mine is broken also, does everyone have their page refresh???? Could be a link just showing from the computers cache if you still see it.....

My win98 machine sees it fine with IE5.5 SP2, but my Win2000 Machine that I use mostly does not. It is IE5.5 SP1 I am going to do the update and see if it will help.

Hmmmm.... That's interesting... This is what I come up with. All the other sites I visit regularly are just fine. This is the only site that gives me problems.

Clicking on "100 Empty Shells"

Yes, the store links do seem to have problems from time to time. Don't know why. I get those same blank pics on the store pages every now and then. The BB runs fine on my end.
However, the best thing to do is to send SWF.com an email about the problems at info@saltwaterfish.com.

Not to rain on the parade, but having designed several web pages, I have to say these problems are not from the user. It's not their settings. I love the site and think you guys did a great job with it, but there are quite a few bugs as far as the dry goods section goes and of course the missing image on the top.

By the way, I am running win2k service pack 3 with IE 6.0 service pack 1 and I still get the missing image on the top.

causeidm,
I've done some development also, by no means am I an expert but wouldn't it help if they called up the image without the "/" forward slash?

no, not really, the image just isn't there, it's probably in an images folder or something, they just directed it wrong

Actually it is there. Some people are not experiencing any problems. I checked it on wife's computer and the image above shows up.
Since we are both on Windows2000, maybe that has something to do with it. Who knows!

I see your using IE. Make sure you have the boxes are checked. Go to tools and then Internet options and then advanced. Check your other computer that is working properly and then make any corrections on yours. Check the same boxes. Some may have come unchecked for faster page loading. Just a place to start. Good luck
