Why is my Anenome so small?

My Anenome when the lights come on is 8 inches high and the last two nights he has been only one inch high. The clown is swimming hard through him and looks to be trying to get him up.
What do I do?
Thanks,
Greg

for how long time do you have this anemone? What are the water parameters:Ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, phosphate. WE need to know this to try to help you. Try to give us as more info about your tank as possible.

The water is great and tank has been running since October 2001, and it's been a reef tank since June 2002. Do I need to hand feed the anenome or will the clown feed him, etc...?
Thanks,
Greg

Greg - feed that anemone all it can eat (a LOT!) at least twice a week.
Preferably small whole marine animals like head-on shrimp, Silversides and/or Lancefish.

I gave it a small piece of raw shrimp from the grorcy store and it's been coming back to life. The Cleaner Shrimp is stealing the anonmes food.
