why is my sand turning colors

my tank does not have much but just sand in it. I have rocks in a seperate tank curing. But my sand is turning really dark brown. is this normal.

Normal when your cycling how long has it been set-up? You may need a clean up crew soon.

Ok I want and looked it up myself. CERITH SNAILS eat brown alge crabs basicly don't help the situation. You have to get sand sifting snails.
P.S. I was asking for a more detailed answer than "A CLEANING CREW" but thanks anyway.

I just siphon them out during a water change. They'll go away eventually....In my new tank, I'm not even bothering with it like I used to with my previous tanks. I'm letting it go through it's own stage and it's starting to go away.... :happyfish
