What did you do now?!
Okay, okay... How long have you had your lights on? Perhaps you need to give them a break and stir up your sand a little...? That helped my friend a little while ago...
...Also, you mentioned an ich epidemic in your tank...? Perhaps this has something to do with it...? :notsure:
Let me know what you find out; I am still at Gavin's dorm right now, but I DO have my messenger up and I'm still on the forum. <3

i'm not sure what would cause it to turn brown..perhaps lighting..but i would definitly not stir up the sand bed...i'm sure someone will chime in..also posting parameters is a good thing every one will want to know..provide as many details as u can...good luck

your ich will come and go until you kill it. which could take up to 6 weeks WITHOUT fish in the water.

not your main tank, though. If you put your fish into a qc for the 6 weeks, it'll kill the ich in your display AND kill it on them.

Ok you may want to click on my name and look up all my threads started. I had the same problem. It looked like free floating diatoms. It got so horrible bad in my tank that it looked like someone pooped in the water. I couldn't even see the fish and it smelled!!! I turned the lights out compleatly for over a week, I did multipal large water changes, I had carbon running, I got marine water clarifier. I got a protein skimmer and it got worse and not better. My whole dinning room stunk form it. I broke down and took apart the whole tank. Got LS instead of dead and added more LR. Emptied the whole thing and scrubbed everything, LR, filters, decor, tank, power heads, EVERYTHING!! I filled it back up with RO water and started again. 3 weeks later the brown started to come back . I almost sold my tank but I got a UV sterilizer and boom! Crystal clear!!! I have never seen it so beutiful. Read my thread and you can see the whole story.
