Yup, they have a digital thermometer built in. I use three different kinds of thermometers just to be safe and they all usually match. The Ranco is great because it is accurate to 1 degree and all you do is turn you heaters to the max and it takes care of the rest. This gives you an idea on what it looks like. Why do you have to turn the heaters all the way up? I am still a little confused about how this actually works.
