I woke up this morning to find my power had been off all night my tank had no filter or heat i had my fan goin so the water got cold and my fish went into shock:scared:and sunk to the bottom by the time the power came back on my fish were just layin on its side....i dont think there gonna make it
so im stuck with a month old tank wit lr & ls and 3 half dead fish.....i know this might be mean but when they do die i wanted to get a breeded pair of clowns for my tank you guys know where i can get them the cheapest over the net?....i know you cant post a link but can you just type it in if so please do

How cold was the tank when you found out? They may come back and act normally when temp raises back to normal for a few hours or so. Well, what kind of clowns are you looking to breed? Depending on the species, they range from $50-$100.

i have no idea i got the heater runnin right now and they are still layin on their side
....whats the cheapest? i would like to breed perc or false perc

The cinnimon, clarkii, or tomato clowns are the cheapest at $70. Sorry, I was wrong, they don't have any mated pairs at $50. For a true percula, they are $99 on one site, and $89 on another. Then one place has the ocellaris clowns for $89, and what they call tangerine ocellaris clowns for $99. ok how bout you e-mail me......i dunno what im gonna do with my fish they are just laying on their side.....im gonna go to this big SWF store hopefully tommorow and see what they say.... i hate to do it but i might have to flush them

IMO, you shouldn't flush them for as long as they are still alive. Wait a bit and see how they do.

ive seen them online for $89 minimum you would be better off just buying two clowns of different sizes i think

i was thinkin of that.....im plannin on goin to a big LFS in downtown cincy sunday so ill check there........the fish i have now uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh they arnt doin to good:nope: :nope: :nope: will they survive?

are they alive still? hope they are for you thatd be hard to loose them, i had a mated pair of percs that and i hadnt realized i picked a pair out at the LFS and then they died of ick serveral weeks later -_-

Please don't flush them. I hate to see animals suffer, but give them a chance, they might make it.

id keep waiting till you are positive they are dead they can make a comback if they still are alive

Before you flush them you should atleast euthanize them by placing them in a cup with some tank water in the freezer, they will die peacefully, THEN flush them. Don't flush them alive, thats cruel. :nope:
