Why the marroon clown doesn't like orchid?

My stocklist:
Bristletooth tang
Orchid dottyback
Maroon clown
Orange spotted goby
Falco Hawkfish
I have a 120g reef tank
Now the hawkfish used to really hate the goby but now he doesn't care. The maroon on the other hand doesnt like when the orchid comes out to play and doesn't seem to be letting up. So can I assume that he will never let up and why do you think he doesn't like the orchid? Are they from the same genus? Does the maroon have a problem with purple? You can tell the orchid knows to stay away from the maroon but the maroon seems to seek him out at times. I really hate to see the orchid get picked on like this. I also worry that if the orchid dies that the marroon will find another fish to pick on. I guess I just have to let things be or else remove one of them.

I had a Maroon clown that was mean to everything in my tank it would grab my cleaner shrimp by it antennas and drag it around the tank. Chased my fire goby till it jumped out. I took it back to the lfs. Traded it for another type of clown.

IMO, i wouldnt want a maroon clown because of the stories ive heard about them. They can be extremely agressive.

my maroon is aggressive when they get close to "his" rock or his leather coral other than when that happens he leaves my firefish alone

A single Maroon is almost always a female and a grown one is one of the most territorial fish I know of and capable of killing fish their size or smaller. Plus, they will often claim a huge amount of tank space as 'theirs". IMO, they belong with other aggressive fish that can hold their own.

I love maroons and have had them for many years; but they really get territorial at this age. If you have a QT, a time-out often works with them. The chances of the maroon not claiming the whole tank, or most of it, really improve when they are the last fish introduced. When small, they look like other clowns and most clowns are somewhat aggressive. But maroons get big and very nasty. I don't think this fish is going to allow you to add anything to your tank that isn't mean enough to hold his own---and probably destroy your other fish. I think you have to make a decision: re-home the maroon and have a tank of smaller, peaceful fish; or keep him and turn the tank into an aggressive tank.

Yeah, I bought the guy because he was so cute but if he continue to become more aggressive, he may have to go. Right now it is just the orchid dottyback feeling his bulliness. If I see him go after others, he will go.
