Why Will the Giants Win?

Here's why the Giants will beat the Packers:
The temperature is going to be -5 degrees F on gameday. Windchill puts the temp at -28 degrees F. With weather that cold it is nearly impossible to throw and kick. Throwing too hard can break a finger. So, the game will be all about the run game. Giants have a phenomenal power running game with Brandon Jacobs, and a bit more agility with Ahmad (sp?) Bradshaw. The packers defense lets up an average 103 rush yards a game. The giants let up an average of 97 per game. Close numbers, however, the Packers rush an average of 98 yards per game. The giants rush an average of 134 per game.
So, in a game that will be decided on defense and running the ball, the Giants have a nice size advantage over the Packers.
Oh, and the Giants have won 9 straight on the road. The Giants also have performed better and won in bad weather, however weather this cold destroys that stat.

Did you happen to see Grant run for 200 yards in the snow storm last week? Yes he had two fumbles in the first 90 seconds but write that off as jitters and he was trying to do much with what he was given.
I think it will come down to which QB can handle the elements better I would have to put more stock in Favre than young Eli. I think the butt whooping the Pack got in Chicago earlier this year when it was -10 degrees taught that team (and the offensive play caller) a lot.

He got lucky. I mean Adrian Peterson had 2 great games and 3 decent games. The rest he didn't get over 100. I think grant got lucky.

i cant believe i am. The weathermen are ok with temps, its snow that they can't handle.

In all 10 of his starts this year (he didn't start until Week 6 or 7), he is averaging 113 yards per game, so I would say he is holding his own. Those 2 fumbles last week by the way bring his total to 3 for the year, so he is pretty sure handed too.
I didn't bring up injuries but the Pack is much healthier too. The Pack's youth is one thing that does concern me.

the gients dont have a chance against the packers...end of story...not to mention that packers play in this weather EVERY YEAR...they are used to it and their game wont be as affected as you think...there is no way that gients can win at lambo field with thoes temps...

he had only 10 starts this year too. Jacobs has had 13 starts, fumbled 5, and only missed due to injury. He is fine now.

sry, but there IS a chance. giants have definitely been on a roll, and did give the pat's a run for their money. i think you're going to see them fighting hard to have the rematch of the century in the superbowl.
now, if they get into the superbowl with the pats, they are dead in the water.

but with manning being as inconsistant as he was in the regular season i dont truse his arm...i know that he has had a few good games in the playoffs so far but i think that lambo will be the end of him this year...also do you really think that bret farve will lose at lambo in this years playoffs?...

how are you going to manage to throw one TD in -28 degree weather? Brett farve had trouble at -10. Its all run game.

bret farve will find a way...he always has...
i have a question for you nano...if you had to choose a QB for you team to play in -28 degrees...would it be farve or eli? a veteran of cold weather or some one who is only 3 or 4 years into the league?

Lets see.... Iwonder what the packers offensive style is?? PASS they pass the ball. In the colder games they have stuck with the runnung back that has the second most yards per game in the NFL, Ryan Grant. The Packers will destroy the Giants. Little baby-faced eli is gonna get a little cold and choke. Favre is a legend that delivers in the cold. There is going to be a Patriots Packers rematch in the superbowl!

Cant agree more with Triggerz the giants are NOT a good team. They dont know what cold weather is like where the packers have had insane pass and running offense. Lets face it giants fans, u can get your hopes up for nothing if it makes u feel good.

If the Packers go to the SB that means it's all fixed. lol - seriously, do you remember how bad the Pack was last year? And now Favre looks like he's 20 again all of a sudden? I'll never watch football again - the NFL wants him to go out on top and retire a hero. It's all about the money people - and whoever has the biggest story line is sure to win it. Packers will beat a very good Giants team this week - if for nothing else the home-field advantage.

i'm not saying Eli is a better quarterback. Eli sucks. I am saying Brett farve will be an inneffective passer this weekend.
