Why?

I didn't know Democrats were allowed in Thousand Oaks

Average home price of over $700,000, must be a few "limousine liberals" there I suppose.

Free clubs from Acushnet (parent company of Titleist/Cobra/Footjoy) is quite nice, I played Titleist drivers for years and years, now all Ping....I toured both Titleist and Cobra back in the day in Carlsbad, Cory Pavin's brother Pat showed us around Titleist....Very cool.

well Reef gets the prize for proving me wrong. A political sub forum would need heavy moderation with people throwing insults at the slightest provovaction.
Un, i used to check out the threads. I mean it is always good to see somone else's point of view. But then I realized that there was no "discussion" going on. It was simply; here is my viewpoint and here is why you are wrong. Somone else would reply no you are wrong. Then another reply, no you idiot you are wrong........ I never saw anyone say, Oh yeah that is a valid point. Which should happen in a discussion. If you all are just calling each other idiots and saying the other person is wrong then what is the point?

KJ, I like to think of myself as an independent. Which also has not proven to be popular on this board. https://forums.saltwaterfish.com/t/336163/undecided-votersI have voted both Rep. and Dem. The funny thing is that because of the conservatives on this board (and I go back a long way on this board when it used to be much worse) I could not vote Republican. If these people are reprentatives of the Republican party I did not want any dealings with them. You may say that is wrong, but if they are posting this stuff to try to "enlighten" me on how good the Republican party is and how bad the Democrats are, then the converse can be true.
You must have some old numbers for the housing $. We "lost" 300K on our house.

It was pretty funny when the neighbors across the street offered us a Mc Cain sign. I politely declined.
Free clubs are good not matter what they are. My wife and I have been playing less than a year so our goal is to get the ball up in the air. If that happens then it is mission accomplished.
I did shoot less than my age last weekend. It was 9 holes on a par 3 but still..........

I have fun with it honestly, and I'm decidedly liberal myself. I enjoy the debate and find the members here to be largely very respectful and their points of view to be thought provoking.
I belong to other fora where the bent is mostly liberal, and others still where it's pretty much a flame fest. Boring on both counts.
If everything were kept to one thread, it'd get entirely unmanageable from both a mod's and a poster's perspective.
Don't take a thread title personally. It's the internet.

I'm mostly here for the fish. What happens in the Aquarium stays in the Aquarium.
Form someone who is completely full of crap you make a lot of sense sometimes

Other than some people who's presence here before the election was somewhat suspicious most of us play well with others. I've hung out on a few different forums and I would say this is the best place for off topic. There are a number of dedicated libs posting here so it's not like dog pile on the commie when someone starts a thread that is seen as a liberal subject.
There have been some pretty good threads discussing green issues, at least the ones that make sense.

Dude, my bad it was a joke. I guess I missed the fact I didn't get the smiley in there.
As far as a single thread just for politics bad idea. There are a lot of political discussions that aren't partisan in nature like the one about the Iranian protests. There are also many different issues of a political nature and one all encompassing thread would really stifle those discussions.

I give it a shot now and again.
I do mean it when I say: thanks

I've said it before and I'll say it again - there is nothing to be learned from agreement.

This was not started to squash political threads. It was started to say that either the political talk should go on in the political thread sticky, and one person is breaking the rules. Or political threads are allowed and therefore the political thread sticky is redundant. That still has not been resolved really. But I know it is and always will be a fluid situation.
The thread kind of morphed from there, as they tend to do.

Yep,
I am just waiting for enough people from the D's and R's to bolt to the Libertarian party to make that a viable option. They need to temper their positions just a tad and I think we shift to a 3 party system.

Im sick and tired of both parties,IMO they have both proven themselves to be self serving blowhards who havent got a clue on what happens on "Real Street"AKA "Main Street"
Im officially declaring myself an Independent Constitutionalist.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with the US Constitution as it is,but we have clowns on the left and right trying to screw it up by leaving behind the principals and values it stands for.
It just so happens we have a progressive lefty in office right now that wants to fundamentally screw this country up in one quick swoop.

I've already bolted from "party" loyalty. At least out here though, the system is so rigged that as a registered Independent, I can't vote in the Republican primary if I want to.
Believe it or not - sometimes I do.

In Montana you don't even register by party. You can pick whichever ballot you want for the primary.
Colorado I registered as an independent but when signing up for an absentee ballot had to declare a party. I registered Democrat so they would waste time and money sending me propaganda. I am to the point I don't like either party but with the current leadership in place I could never vote for a democrat above the local level. Maybe some state offices, Colorado still has some decent Dems here and there.

I am going to have this thread closed.
I have had a sudden slap in the face to realize how short life is and it has made my pity the poor fools who waste their life on what they may consider to be something important. However in the end it is just a waste of your life. As such I don't want anyone to waste any of their precious life responding to this thread. Instead of replying to a stupid topic take that time to get up from the computer and give a loved one a hug.
