Wife's ------ Cancer

Sorry I have not been on here since June when my wife had her surgery for

[hr]
cancer to update but had to put my aquarium on hold and maintain what I had and time didn't allow me to really get on here. Just an update. She is doing fine now. We are 4 treatments in and 2 left to go. After the double masectomy things got a little hectic and she has battled a skin infection but all is looking good. After the chemo treatments comes the reconstruction but she is keeping good spirits and been great through this whole thing.
Wish I could say the same as some of my fishy friends. We have lost a few but most are hanging with us. FOr some reason all my red leg hermits died, 7 of them. An emerald crab, my cleaner shrimp for some reason. I had a goby jump out of my tank and found him a few days later. Money is tight right now so I have just been trying to maintain what I have. 2 clowns hanging in there and 2 green chromis. Also got a coral banded shrimp that is doing fine and a feather duster. Hopefully the budget will come around and I can start adding some more inverts to help keep the tank clean so I dont have to work so hard at it!
Thanks guys for the prayers and thoughts!
Jimmy

Thoughts and prayers are with you both. I know exactly how difficult this can be on the entire family.

glad to hear treatments are coming to and end so she can start reconstruction. A friend of ours went through the reconstuction last year and she is so happy she did it. A little rough, but worth it in the end.
Good luck, keep us posted

Thanks guys, and glad to be back Beth. My little guys are getting tired of their boring tank now. I need to get some pictures of something that I have growing in there now to get identified. They are little balls that look almost like grapes popped up on the rocks. My wife wants to pop them lol. I did not get them until I put Chaeto in my sump.

Sounds like bubble algae

Yep, looks like I now have green hair algae, caulerpa racemosa, and valonia macrophysa ( bubble Algae). Are these harmful? How do I get rid of them?
