will 144watts (6 X 24W T5) sustain SPS in a 20 gal tall?

No, the question is. What bulbs are you using? do you have high quality individual reflectors for the bulbs and how high in the tank can you get the corals?

Stock bulbs. nothing fancy. planning on upgradin - don't kno the best brand or color combo. the tops of my LR structures are about 6-7 inches from water line..
