Will a Kole Tang Work?

My current stock is a falco hawkfish and maroon clownfish. I have a midas blenny and fridmani coming in today. I would like one more fish and would like a bigger one and I think I have decided on a Kole Tang. I won't be getting it until I get some more rock. I have a 120g tall tank and my aquascape needs to be higher. Anyway, do you think a Kole Tang will work? Are they hardy?

They are very hardy, but they are the dullest in color. I have one as part of the CUC they eat lots of algae, as all tangs do.
A yellow, Hippo or powder blue...all are great fish and much more beautiful. A yellow tang is hands down the toughest and hardiest and much better looking JMO.

I loved my Kole tang, and it seemed pretty hardy till my LTA got hold of it. I would highly recommend one.
Only possible issue with any fish would be your Maroon. Is it small enough to not be aggressive yet? I would try to finish my stocklist before that happens!

Thanks y'all. I have had a Hippo and Yellow Tang before so was thinking of going with something different. I really like the purple tang but dang they are costly. The maroon clown is very small so it isn't showing any aggression yet. All he does is hover beside the bubble coral.

Kole tangs are awesome and very pretty. They are mostly brown but those yellow eyes and pruple chest area is gorgeous IMO. You cant go wrong with a purple tang either. They are stuning fish

Kole tangs primarily eat film algae not much of the other types. They are more of a challenge to acclimate then other tangs but once acclimated are hardy. Kole tangs will be badgered by other tangs.

Well I have decided my big fish will either be a kole or an atlantic blue tang. I would like to get a flame angel but I don't think they are reef safe. I also need to determine how to get the midas blenny to eat. He keeps spitting out flakes and ignored the seaweed strip.
Anyway, my LFS is getting a kole tang on Thursday so I will finally get to check out one up close. Not sure if I have ever seen an atlantic tang at the LFS either.

I love Kole tangs.
Really want one but only have a 55 gallon tank. To small imo for any tang.
Your tank sounds great for a kole. As for the midas blenny not eating, have you tried mysis? Maybe soak it in an aquarium garlic solution.

Very nice looking Kole Joe. I would have bought the Kole my LFS store got in last week but it appeared to have been mishandled with the net during transfer since it had some skin damage. I will be patient and wait for another one to come in.

Well I went for the kole and it was sold so I got a mimic. I haven't had much success with clams in the past so I won't be getting one of them any time soon.
