Will A Koran Angel Eat My Corals?

With any fish that says reef safe with caution, that's what it is telling you to be cautious about it because it may eat corals. Someone may have one that does not bother their corals at all and then there will be another that it ate most of their corals. With fish like that its a gamble. If you keep them well feed, then I have read that they will be less likely to eat the corals. How true that statement is, is anyone's guess. It may work out for you and the Koran may not touch your corals, then again you may get one that does. Its really your choice if you want to take that chance.

wouldnt they bee less likely to eat a stinging coral like my hammers?
That I hope one of the more experienced people on here will answer for you. This is what I have read about the Koran because I was looking to maybe put one in my tank but then decided not too.. It is prone to nip at stony and soft corals (sessile invertebrates) and clam mantles so it is not a good candidate for a reef aquarium.

Yes, they would be less likely to eat stinging corals, but more likely to eat xenia, zoas, & kenya tree that you listed. There is no one size fits all when it comes to these fish and to their fit in the reef tank.

Nearly all angels are questionable.
More often it's an individual fish choice than the species. Most will nip at everything, being voracious and curious. If it likes what it tastes, it'll eat it. And sting is a matter of degree -- what one coral finds "stingy " an angel or butterfly may not. There are documented cases of butterflys eating carpet anemones In the wild.
I have an Indian yellowtail / cream angel who eats bristleworms and Zoas. Took a couple of nips at everything else but leaves them alone now.
