Will adding old dead/dry live rock cause a spike in nutrients?

I have 30+ lbs of formerly LR in my garage that I'd like to re-incorperate into my display. I'm curious as to if this could cause an ammonia or nitrate spike. There's nothing alive on the rock. Any suggestions or imput would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

It could if there is anything in the rock that is dead. I would get a rubbermaid container or something close and cycle the rock for a week or so and test it to make sure there is no amonia present. If not then you're good to go!

It will most definitely come back to life. - When I re-introduced base rock into my display I boiled it to remove anything that might be on the rock. - You never know what could have been spilled on it...mold...etc.
I personally just boiled mine, then put them in the tank. - However I do have a larger tank.
