Yeah, true-it was just a SUGGESTION. He can do what he wants! Is there ANY room behind the tank? Like even a few inches? Even a HOB fuge would be better than no fuge!

I do appreciate the suggestions. The few HOB fuges I found wouldn't fit on the back and I really don't want it hanging off the side. I'm happy with what I've got. Until it gives me a problem I'm not going to fix it.

I think I have it now... A canister filter has to be cleaned every day... Refuge requires no cleaning?? It seems cleaning is a weekly chore in this hobby anyways right? I do not have any restraints with this tank...It is not even set up yet. I have over a 1000 square feet of basement to put this tank up. I want to do it correctly. So far one 2 people here think a canister basically sucks...And I don't really understand any of the ph factors that get messed up...Why would they sell these canister filters if they are so bad? I have 2 of them, enough for a 200 Gal tank...I want a 75 gal. Everyhing I read tells me you can not have too much filtration...So what gives? :help:

Shane,
I don't think canisters are necessarily bad, just more limited than sumps. I will probably get a canister just to run carbon but because I have a sump and fuge there is so much more I can do.

I think it is clear now....It's pretty much personal preference. If someone says canisters need to be cleaned all the time, and someone else says no they don't-it's just opinion.
Thanks for the info...
