theres always a chance it will host. but like u said they arent the easiest. my buddy has a condy and a maroon goldstripe that lives in a condy and not his bta

the percs may accept the anemone as a host, and its also possible that the anemone may eat the percs. Purchasing a condylactus anemone with intentions of it being a host anemone is not a wise choice IMO. Condylactus are not a hosting species

i only got it because the price was right. i didnt think it would be a host anemone. however my clowns are showing some interest in it. im crossin my fingers

IMHO buying something because the price was right could be a bad idea in the future. Make sure you know what your getting yourself into, buying an anemone for $20 is great but if it eats $40 fish not so good of a deal. That being said i have a condy and three small percs (all raised together and added to the tank at the same time) and they have no interest in my condy and he has no interest in them. Personally i would suggest if you cant monitor the tank closely i would not encourage them to host.

I have 2 concerns:
1. Why did first anemone die?
2. The anemone is going to outgrow your tank and eat your fish.

With my condy the base was about the size of a tennis ball around when I got it a month ago. It has doubled in size. They grow really fast when they are happy and healthy. From what i have heard it is not uncommon forthem to tripple thier size very quickly.
