Will my anemone kill my clam?

My Long Tentacle Anemone decided to move right behind one of my croceas and stay there. I was wondering if the anemone could kill it or just irritate it.

Is it actually touching the clam or just the shell. Can you move either one? To close for comfort IMO. I would think it could cause some damage if it is touching the flesh, if not then to cause the clam to close up.

I actually just got done moving the clam. When ever the tentacles would touch the clam, the clam would pull back (meaning it is hurting it). It just looked really cool the way that they were. Oh well. Thanks
