Will new LR affect my fish?

Hello,
I'm remodeling my tank and am planning to buy LR from this site. What I'm curious about is that if I buy the pre-cured LR and stick it in my tank, will it affect the fish I currently have in it and if it does should I recure it before putting it in the tank? Please write some feedback.

I'm new to this, but i do know you will have to cure it once it arrives if you already have fish in your tank. The die off in shipping will cause your tank to cycle.

ARE YOU SERIOUS!!

I have a 45 gallon tank. If I bought the lr from this site I'd pay over 200 $ :scared: I don't have that kind of money

Actually, 1.5 to 2 lbs of live rock for a reef tank.
It does not LOOK like so much. But yeah, it hurts the wallet.

Get used to it the $$$, the good thing is LR is a sound investment for the health of you tank...along with a good skimmer. You could buy from your LFS and add slowly maybe 5 - 10 lbs every paycheck that way you can choose your pieces, it should be already cured, and get the look you want. Buying online is great I did it for 45 lbs (159.99) but added about 20 more from the LFS.

You could go with more, or you could go with less .... It's whatever you like. Just keep in mind, the more LR the more natural filtration. :D

Man, I'm sorry. I don't know why I didn't realize it sooner, but onto the subject at hand. I have a friend who when he bought some LR ended up getting a starfish as well that had crawled out of the Lr. Is something like that common or was it a freak coincidence.
