Will new LR affect my fish?

I'll let you know this week whne my LR gets here. From what I hear, it is common.

Thnx for telling me. Now I won't be surprised if the same thing happens to me. Do you also know how LR can die out( other than depriving it of water till everything is dead). I used to have live rock and it was thriving but then it suddenly died out.
