hello~
I have a pistol shrimp paired with a watchman goby for a year already, but I have yet to see my shrimp eat anything. Im just wondering, what will the pistol shrimp eat? my LFS told me they eat goby poo, and someone else told me the goby will bring food to the shrimp (he always ate everything before head back to the cave)
should I put some food inside their cave? or just let the goby do whatever it suppose to do?
thanks

my pistol shrimp (who doesn't have a goby buddie yet) comes out when I feed the tank, I always try to drop a little food near his burrow because he isn't fast and easily gets spooked.

i have a tiger pistol that shares a very nicely cave complex, dug by him, with a smaller randalli pistol, barbershop goby and a bigger yellow watchman.
The yellow watchman feeds them all.. i put little cut squares from a bigger angel formula frozen cube on my feeding stick... he grabs the big piece .. rushes back in thru one of the holes... (drops it off there) comes back out three seconds later looking for more(i give him enough for all)... when he sees im not droppin anymore food off to him he goes back to the hole to get his share... very impressive to watch...
on the other side of my tank i have a loner japanese pistol..... my barbershop goby tried to pair up with him a while back but this pistol doesnt like to partner up??? idk, but i always drop food by his hole and he never comes all the way out.. like half way.
hope i helped

i added them at seperate times... got the yellow watchman first, then about a month after that i put the barbershop goby in....
my ywg is about twice the size of the other goby, and yes i saw a lot of aggression at first... they would fight for spots that im guessing where prime spots?
because they both wanted those spots but the bigger ywg would always run him out. would see jaws opened and all, but im guessing the barbershop goby would get his licks in since hes smaller .... because my ywg had these scrapes on the left middle side... probably done by the barbershop goby...
it sounds sort of bad but it wasnt really all that bad... about a week later aggression stopped...
and now theyre living together and the bigger ywg feeds the other.
