Will pods eat Yellow Polyps

I bought this little rock that had around 30 polyps on it. Over the last 2 or 3 months they have been disappearing. Ther is only about 5 or 6 left. When I look in the take at night I always see what i think are pods on the polyps. The pods are about a 1/4 inch long and there's a couple that look a little bigger. Everything else in my tank seems fine so I don't know what else it could be.
THANKS,
Shayn

Pods won't eat a heathy polyp. However, if the polyp is dying, the pods will eat the dying matter. Yellow pods have always been something that doesn't do well in my tank. I bought a rock with maybe 30 polyps on it, and there are only 6 left on the rock. All other corals are doing well, but for some reason I have yet to determine, the yellow polyps keep dying off. So, anyway, my thought is that the polyps are dying, and the pods are eating the decaying material.

the best success I have had is with yellow polyps..... I think when I stirr my tank up every other day it gets bits of food up to them. I have them spreading in several places......who knows?

I have posted this question before as well, i just lost my last yellow polyp, i have tried this 3 diffrent times and the bugs eat them, and they look very healthy, they are not dying, when i posted this question the response i got was that they would eat the polyps, no one said anything about eating dying ones.:(
anyways, i will not try them again.

I hope they don't eat green star polyps. (peppermints). I also bought an arrow crab today and I'm wondering about that too. I read lots and when I walk into an LFS I forget.
So before I buy some yellow polyps like I almost did today - rid the peppermint?

Also on the other hand, are there any fish nipping at them? Awhile ago I had an LMB (well sold as one) and it ate every one of mine!!! To clarify this it was not a LMB, similiar though. I didnt realize till I caught it in the act.

if you want peppermint shrimp then no yellow polyps. Maybe replace with cleaner shrimp. I would take back the arrow crab too.

My peppermint shrimp is worthless as far as seeing during the day.
I'll trade tade my peppermint and an arrow for some yellow polyps.
Why not have an arrow? Are they a pain?
(we're off topic a bit)..
