Will starfish host ick?

Just like the title. I recently had ick and now have no fish in my tank, but was wondering if starfish will host it?

The star will not host ich....but you need to wait for 4 weeks before putting anymore fish in your tank....the ich is still there...waiting to re-emerge....it takes 3-4 weeks for the ich to die without a host...if you put ANY fish in the cycle of ich will restart....

I'm not planning on putting in any more fish for a while. I just ordered a RO/DI unit and gonna try to get most of my water changed out before I add any more fish.

ok kewl....but remember not to add any fish until the 4 week mark passes from the date of your last fish death....that's the only sure way of not getting it restarted....
