will this poison my water?

i need to fix my powerhead, because a small piece chipped away and im trying to put a piece of plastic and glue it with crazy glue will the crazy glue poison my water if i wait untill it dries.

It will not poison your water and you don't even hafta wait til it dries. I actually try to apply it to corals IN the tank. I say "try" because the stuff wants to float, and if it does not make contact as soon as it comes out, sometimes it will try to float on ya.
I remember one thread, the guy put it in his tank, it started to float and his fish tried to eat it. The little ball of glue stuck to the fishes lips.
No harm done.
Edit...Oh, I just reread your question... All that I wrote is true, but I didn't include that crazy glue does not work on plastic...
That's why the lid doesn't get stuck on it.

try silicone.
AQUARIUM silicone. other kinds have chemicals in them, like mold resistors, that could poison your tank.

Hmmm, I didn't realize that, now i'm going to have to test..

I learned something new here too. I never thought about why the cap never gets stuck, yet it can hold a contruction worker by his metal hard hat in the commercials
