My husband is getting ready to set our 75 gallon up. He decided to clean it out. But now he wants to use windex to clean the INSIDE of the tank before putting water. I don't think he should but not sure. Help me.

Windex is fine to use on the OUTSIDE, as long as you don't spray it near the tank. It is a chemical and will kill fish.
Vinegar cleans tanks like magic!

I would suggest vinegar for the inside of the tank and when its up and running use alcohol for the out side. That way you dont have to take the chance on spraying windex into the tank. Just pore alcohol on some old newspapers and clean the out side. The glass dont streak and looks crystal clear.

Newspaper doesnt leave streaks, and if you use a sponge like I do with vinager add alittle salt to the sponge and old water deposits come off great!

Well after my hubby had to find out if you could see the cloudiness (by filling the tank with water then draining it again)
He decided that it would be fine.
Thanks everyone. He has been using the windex wipes for the outside of the tank.
Then he found windex with vinagar and started cleaning the inside of the tank. That's when I said "Hold up wait a minuite"
