Hey everyone. I'm new to the board and have some questions. I have been reading as much as i can. Now i have a question that i need help with.
Can anyone help me to figure out how to wire a gang box with three outlet/switch. I found this picture of someones and i would like to make one. I can't seem to get the outlets to work all in a row. If i switch on off the other two don't work. Do i have to make the box with three plugs? i thought and it looked like and the way i read it as i can have one plug working all three outlets is that true. Any help would be great.

Please don't take this wrong, I mean it in the best way.
The long and short of it is, if you are not experienced with wiring for your sake, your family's sake, and your fish's sake please get an experienced electrician to do it for you.

Absolutely it can be done.
The point I was trying to make is that wiring is something that should not be done by someone who is not trained. Especially can be a problem when wiring in potentially wet areas that we all deal with in this hobby.
In your original question it sounded like you were able to do a similar wiring job, but that when the first switched outlet was turned off the following outlets were also off. That tells me that you do not know how to properly wire the circuit.
Please understand, I'm not trying to be rude. I just don't want to see someone get hurt by doing wiring incorrectly.
I would suggest that you find an electrician and explain what you are looking for. Check with a Lowes or Home Depot, they often will refer you to a licensed professional. I would think they could fix you up with a small board containing what you need for a pretty reasonable expense. This would have the added benefit of knowing that each time you use the equipment you will be safe, along with others that may be exposed to it.

He said " go post questions if I can not help you, some of them can. Their are some members who words should be taken like the word of god. I could not remember the names that he told me or his now but when I saw Acrylic name then I was like oh yeah that’s one of the name he told me about.
I am going to go and get that book, and I may take you up on the phone call.

I've had personal training from my brother-in-laws who are certified electrician and run their own business, and I work 220 now without shutting a thing down......Your correct you could bring in 1 main line and break off of the main line and feed each switch independently........Have a little faith brother..........The book has pictures.......Words mean nothing....Pictures!!!!!!!
